Our Client is the leading Maintenance contractor for Motorways and National Roads in Ireland. They are looking to hire a Project Engineer to join their team.
The role will involve monitoring and implementing the highest standards in promoting health and safety in all activities, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations. Managing packages of works with direct labour and subcontractors and ensuring the efficient use of plant, labour, and materials in the delivery of works.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Oversee site setting-out and supervision.
2. Plan and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and resources.
3. Prepare project proposals and budget estimates.
4. Develop strong relationships with Local Authorities, TII Representatives, and key stakeholders.
5. Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
6. Manage documentation, reports, and compliance records.
7. Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain quality control.
8. Represent the company at stakeholder meetings and client engagements.
Job Requirements:
1. Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or related field.
2. Experience in Civil Engineering, Road Maintenance, or Highways Projects.
3. Knowledge of TII Standards, Traffic Management, and Infrastructure Regulations.
4. Strong project management and budgeting skills.
5. Excellent communication, planning, and reporting abilities.
6. IT proficiency and a full driving license.
