Concrete Products and Aggregates - Dublin Region
Our Concrete Products and Aggregates business is a high-performance business unit supporting our Irish customers. At Kilsaran, we are trusted by businesses and contractors alike to produce quality construction materials that are fundamental in the creation of our national infrastructure, including large commercial buildings, domestic and agricultural construction, office blocks and major road networks.
The successful candidate will oversee all maintenance works for the region. This position reports directly to the Regional Associate Director. The successful candidate will have full control over staff, parts and maintenance programs internally and externally on both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for management & delivery of the maintenance function for our Concrete production facilities.
2. Member of the senior team for the region.
3. Manage planned downtime to achieve required plant Up Time per week.
4. Maximise machine and equipment output by implementing, operating and maintaining safe and effective preventative maintenance programmes.
5. Assume leadership role in the scheduling of shutdown maintenance activities.
6. Liaise with the Operations Team and Logistics Management in the development of job plans and receive feedback from completed jobs.
7. Responsible for the development, management and implementation of the Routine, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programme and associated improvement works, including the identification by root causes recurring process incidents for elimination.
8. Develop and maintain a Maintenance Management System to optimise site maintenance planning, spare parts management & inventory control, maintenance metrics data collection and reporting.
9. Manage maintenance spare parts storeroom including workflows, spares evaluation and metrics to include identifying critical spares, establishing appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels and optimising inventory stock value.
10. Cost and relationship management of suppliers and 3rd party providers including the identification of new providers.
11. Provide training to other employees, to assist with their understanding of the process and to aid technical decision making.
Skills Required:
1. Time served trade or equivalent qualification, and/or third level related discipline e.g. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree.
2. 6+ years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
