My client, based in Wicklow, is the leading provider of outside broadcasting, fixed rig, and remote production and media workflow solutions in Ireland. This Senior Financial Accountant position reports to the MD and is hands-on and all-encompassing covering all aspects of finance from both the day-to-day operational side to commercial strategic involvement. The Senior Financial Accountant will oversee the financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budget control, and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as a finance liaison between global teams and group.
* Lead and develop finance team of three direct reports.
* Support all Group management reporting processes including the monthly management accounts close and intercompany process.
* Analyse financial data, producing KPIs and metrics to evaluate business performance.
* Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, stock, and capital expenditure.
* Lead forecasting and budgeting processes, including financial planning and analysis.
* Multi-jurisdiction tax compliance.
* Review and monitor capital expenditure, ensuring accurate ROI analysis and spend tracking.
* Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts for the group.
* Implement and support cost control measures, ensuring spending is aligned with company objectives.
* Review and analyse production and operational costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
* Coordinate audit processes and ensure prompt, accurate government returns.
* Provide ad hoc analytical support to various teams within the organisation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* ACCA/ACA/CPA professional qualification essential.
* Experience of managing a team essential.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a commercially focused role.
* Excellent technical skills as well as a keen interest in business and desire to use commercial acumen alongside finance skillset. Proven track record of managing financial operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary €80,000-€85,000.
