This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop into a senior Finance Manager role as the company scales. ________________________________________ Role Summary This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant who wants to be at the heart of a fast-growing business. You will work closely with the Managing Director, managing the daily financial operations while providing strategic support for future expansion. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting oPrepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. oMaintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. oAssist in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support business growth. oOversee VAT, payroll, and tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Day-to-Day Accounting Duties oProcess invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations. oManage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient cash flow management. oAssist in payroll processing and employee expense claims. oMaintain financial documentation and ensure internal controls are followed. Business Growth & Strategic Support oWork with the MD to assess financial viability of new projects and expansion plans. oSupport funding applications and liaise with external stakeholders such as banks and investors. oImplement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency as the company scales. oProvide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. ________________________________________ Skills & Experience Required Qualifications: Recently qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a SME, construction, or manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management skills. Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliation. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
