The company {company} seeks a highly skilled Structural Project Engineer to join their team. Located in Dun Laoghaire, Co., this position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors.
As a Structural Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, supervision and monitoring of building projects. Your expertise will be utilized in designing building structures to the Eurocodes using various materials, as well as preparing manual calculations and utilizing software packages such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot and TEDDS.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design of building structures to the Eurocodes using various materials
* Preparing manual calculations as well as using software packages such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot and TEDDS
* Maintaining design folders
* Communication with internal and external parties
* Preparation of design drawings and review of drawings prepared by others
* Undertaking site inspections as required under BCAR 2014
* Report writing
* Review of Contractor and Design Team proposals
* Assisting in undertaking duties of the PSDP, Assigned Certifier and Ancillary Certifier
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
* A strong technical knowledge of structural engineering and the construction process
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* The ability to take responsibility and work comfortably within a team
* Knowledge of Revit is desirable
