Key Responsibilities
Provide in-depth training and on-site procedural instruction to other physicians/clinicians on the proper use of medical devices resulting in proficient use of the device and the procedure, leading to excellent clinical outcomes.
Responsible for evaluating cases, pre-procedural planning, intra-procedural guidance, and complication management. Assess and mitigate risks and customize procedure to optimize patient outcomes.
Develop medical device techniques and best practices in collaboration with key KOLs. Serve as an advisory role in complex problem solving on emerging technologies.
Provide medical guidance on off label cases and imaging with the highest complexity.
Education and Experience
M.D. degree required. Must be a practicing Interventional Cardiologist/Cardiac Surgeon with 11+ years of related experience.
Serves as current THV Proctor or meets qualifications to serve as a THV proctor for Edwards.
Additional Skills
Current THV implanter in specific specialty of Transfemoral/Transapical delivery procedural.
Demonstrated ability to teach other physicians, especially on TAVR procedures.
Experience in presenting to groups, moderating physician programs, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills.
Recognized as a visionary and industry leader in field of technical expertise.
Expert knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiology.
Advanced problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to influence change within industry.
Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines.
