Lilly’s Information Security organization drives innovative, data-driven, and risk-based solutions that help enable and protect Lilly. The Information Security team is actively looking for an experienced DevOps Identity Engineer passionate about automating the future of information security in the cloud. What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be part of the Information Security Identity and Access Management team which is responsible for delivering and securing technology that supports the Lilly mission. In this role, you will partner with various business partners,, and larger information security teams to ensure technology is crafted and deployed securely and aligned with Information Security and enterprise technology strategies.
You will drive new approaches leveraging automation and infrastructure-as-code to transform how we build and manage our identity capabilities and services. You'll be a key contributor in identifying key processes around the development of our security service and working to develop proactive approaches for support, deployment, and optimizations of security toolsets.
How You’ll Succeed:
As a Security DevOps Identity Engineer, you will:
1. Bring your technical experience automating infrastructure deployment to design and build identity security solutions to address security threats and risks.
2. Develop and maintain reusable templates and code to automate infrastructure delivery and deployment processes across multiple cloud providers
3. Collaborate with Enterprise architects, security, and SMEs to establish and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures
4. Identify manual processes and procedures and design and implement automation solutions using cloud native services
5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and best practices
6. Provide third-tier support to the operational support teams; troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and deployments
7. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in cloud technologies, evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and methodologies to improve the overall DevOps process
8. Using your problem-solving skills, you will strive to leverage automation to quickly identify threats, opportunities, and correct bottlenecks to deliver secure solutions on time.
9. Understand the threat landscape with the ability to translate the general threats into relevant business and technical impacts.
10. As a superb communicator with good interpersonal skills, you will work and collaborate effectively on a team including with remote team members, to define, design and implement Identity services and technologies.
11. Focusing on our business partners, you will drive solutions in Identity that improve security while enhancing user experience.
12. With a high level of curiosity, you’ll maintain technical knowledge across security concepts and technologies with a drive to expand knowledge across Identity.
What You Should Bring:
13. Knowledge of fundamental security principles.
14. Demonstrated experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager
15. Demonstrated experience with CI/CD development tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
16. Experience developing solutions with PowerShell, Python, NodeJS, or other development and scripting languages.
17. Possession or ability to achieve Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate certification.
18. Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Splunk, PowerBI, and/or Azure KQL
19. Experience securing and using APIs.
20. Experience working in Agile teams and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Basic Requirements:
21. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Technology or related technical field OR
22. Secondary level education with 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related field.
23. Demonstrated experience working in cloud hosting environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
24. 2+ years of experience using DevOps automation tools to deliver automated, secure cloud infrastructure solutions at enterprise scale
