They have an opening for a Senior Project Engineer based in Dublin to take responsibility for the delivery of a range of medium to large infrastructure projects to approved schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
The role will involve a combination of office-based working and site visits to both existing and new substations and transmission circuit sites.

The role holder will work on projects across their entire life cycle - from project initiation, through construction and commissioning and right up to project close, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Primarily responsible for coordinating a diverse range of technical projects through the public planning process to achieve planning consent.
Projects include both the redevelopment of existing high voltage assets (substations and overhead lines) and the development of new high voltage projects.
Project manage a portfolio of transmission projects, ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place having regard to budgets, schedule, quality, risk and activity monitoring.
Lead engagement and coordination with partners and other stakeholders including meetings, reporting, relationship management, and general communication as applicable to the project management role.
Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on high quality report writing and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business stakeholders, via meetings, presentations, and reports.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ongoing review and development of procedures and documentation for quality and accuracy.
Within the team, support a proactive stakeholder engagement approach and high-performance capabilities and behaviours.
Provide support to other team members, coordinating activities as required.
Manage, review and coordinate the work of external consultants for projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Engineering degree or technical equivalent with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
Proven experience in managing large infrastructure projects, balancing a proficiency in project management with a developed understanding of power systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Experience conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions, or new ways of doing things.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proficiency in English required.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, while also being able to define and guide own work under minimal supervision.
Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in all aspects of project implementation.
Knowledge of the industry, environment and context, e.g.
knowledge of evolving energy industry and the challenges to delivery of infrastructure.
Experience introducing new concepts, processes, and ways of doing things.
Formal PMP or similar qualification or evidence of working towards one.
