Mannok, a leader in the cement industry, is seeking a skilled and proactive Reliability Technician to join our team at our cement plant in Ballyconnell, Ireland. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for ensuring optimal performance of plant equipment and machinery. As a Reliability Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the reliability of our plant’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems across the plant.
2. Identify and report equipment failures or potential issues before they impact production.
3. Assist in the development and execution of reliability improvement plans to enhance the performance of critical plant assets.
4. Maintain and update maintenance records using the plant’s maintenance management system.
5. Work closely with other departments, including operations and engineering, to ensure that machinery operates at peak efficiency.
6. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and collaborate on developing corrective actions.
7. Support the implementation of predictive and condition-based monitoring systems.
8. Provide technical support and advice during plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities.
9. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualification in Mechanical field or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience (2+ years) in a maintenance or reliability role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Strong understanding of plant equipment, machinery, and maintenance best practices.
4. Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA).
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
7. A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and process optimisation.
8. Experience with condition monitoring tools and techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
