We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Depot Lead to service the Dublin Area.
Role Overview:
The Senior Depot Lead - Dublin is responsible for overseeing depot operations, ensuring efficient distribution, fleet management, and health and safety compliance.
This role involves planning and optimizing routes, managing driver schedules, monitoring performance metrics, and fostering a high-performing team culture. The Senior Depot Lead will collaborate with management, HR, and other departments to drive operational excellence, maintain high service levels, and implement continuous improvements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* LTA's (Lost Time Accident) - Promote a safe working environment to minimize workplace incidents.
* OTIF (On Time In Full) - Ensure timely and complete deliveries to maintain high service levels.
* Salesforce Management - Monitor and manage the number of cases for the region.
* Salesforce Case Closure Time - Ensure all cases are closed within a maximum of 24 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet & Vehicle Management:
* Maintain and update vehicle records for insurance, tax, DOE, and CVRT compliance.
* Ensure timely servicing and track weekly mileage of vehicles.
* Oversee fleet management, including RSA compliance, insurance, and tax requirements.
* Monitor and manage vehicle defect reporting and resolution.
* Ensure company vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and represent a professional company image.
Operational Planning & Coordination:
* Plan and assign driver routes 8 weeks in advance, ensuring optimal vehicle allocation.
* Manage driver schedules, including holidays and training cover, in coordination with HR.
* Continuously optimize routes based on customer changes and new sales allocations.
* Conduct daily debriefs and update operational details on Salesforce/ADX.
* Work closely with the Logistics Manager to develop and execute the distribution strategy.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
* Monitor depot performance against key KPIs and analyze trends.
* Implement corrective actions based on performance insights.
* Prepare and submit monthly distribution reports, including fleet management and efficiency metrics.
* Liaise with the Roscommon Head Office on fleet-related matters and compliance.
Health & Safety Compliance:
* Enforce and uphold Health & Safety standards within the depot.
* Report and address any incidents involving vehicles, employees, or customers.
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping and security in the depot.
* Oversee driver training, including manual handling compliance.
* Coordinate inductions for new drivers and employees.
Customer Service & Team Collaboration:
* Foster high employee morale and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
* Resolve customer or driver issues promptly and professionally.
* Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure seamless customer support.
* Utilize Salesforce for case management.
* Manage stock control, including asset recovery from cancelled sites.
* Support payroll processing and maintain accurate records of driver activities.
* Undertake additional tasks as directed by the manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience in depot, logistics, or distribution management.
* Strong knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, and compliance.
* Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
* Proven leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in monitoring KPIs and driving improvements.
* Effective communication and ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Full, clean driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
