Job description We are seeking an experienced and proactive Support Engineer to join our dynamic product support on-site team in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland. This role is crucial to ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our products and infrastructure. You will be at the intersection of product functionality, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity, assisting clients and internal teams with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution. Responsibilities: Provide advanced technical support for product-related issues, diagnosing and troubleshooting across the product and infrastructure layers. Serve as a primary escalation point for complex incidents involving product support, infrastructure performance, configuration, or security concerns. Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and Infrastructure teams to manage product lifecycle, deployments, and releases. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.) for efficient infrastructure management, automation, and rapid troubleshooting. Implement and enhance security best practices across cloud platforms and internal infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies. Assist in developing documentation and knowledge base articles to empower clients and internal teams. Proactively identify recurring issues and implement permanent fixes or process improvements to ensure product stability and security. Perform periodic assessments and audits of infrastructure security and compliance, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. Qualifications Essential: 3+ years experience in technical or product support engineering roles, particularly supporting complex SaaS or enterprise software products. Extensive experience with infrastructure management (cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), including virtual machines, networking, storage, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies. Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Pulumi, or similar). Solid understanding of security principles including encryption, identity and access management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response practices. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch) to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues. Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred: Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CCSP, or similar. Previous experience working in regulated environments or industries (finance, igaming, healthcare).
