Job Description
During the project delivery there shall be occasions where change will arise, such as Compensation Events, relief events and excusing causes, across the delivery of the project.
The Client Partner shall ensure that there is a robust, effective, and agile change management process in place throughout the delivery lifecycle. The Client Partner shall develop a robust and agile approach to change management process for the project, working with all relevant functions of the organisation to bring a holistic approach to this, including:
* Develop the processes, controls, systems and information required to be documented in relation to decision tracking around scope and design change.
* Develop the processes in relation to how proposed changes shall be evaluated against the realisation of the scheme benefits/objectives including the whole lifecycle cost /impact on the scheme.
* Develop and integrate dispute management protocols and procedures to efficiently manage disputes, including early management interventions to avoid lengthy and costly disputes and in compliance with relevant legislation.
* Develop processes in relation to coordination with other areas of the project Directorate as a result of change management e.g., Risk Management, Scheduling Management, Cost Management as changes occur.
* Align these to the overarching governance structure in place for the project outlining the key reporting requirements to ensure that the appropriate levels of approvals are received in relation to change.
* Support during the tender evaluation phase of the procurement process, supporting with tender clarifications and evaluation of tender submissions in relation to change management.
Job Relationships
The Client Partner will liaise with:
* Client Subject Matter Experts (schedulers, Project Managers, Risk Managers, Finance Managers).
* Key Suppliers and Contractors.
* Internal Project Controls, Cost and Data Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of Project Controls Portfolio.
* Oversight of Scheduling, Project Funding, Reporting, Cost Verification and Analysis.
* Governance of Process and Procedure.
* Management of Tools & Systems.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* The Change management lead must demonstrate knowledge, behaviours and approach that are client centric, professional, and based on best-practice industry standards.
* They shall need to demonstrate excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), negotiation skills and persuasiveness in their various interactions.
* They must have held a Change management role with relatable experience in the last five years in a capital portfolio delivery or utilities-based project.
* The Change management lead must have a minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience and hold a relevant university qualification.
