Quantity Surveyor - Construction Contractor - Wicklow

Our client is one of Ireland's leading Building Contractors with a number of commercial and fit-out building projects in South Dublin, Wicklow & Waterford.
They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor based in South Dublin / North Wicklow and Waterford.
Responsibilities
1. Advise on contractual matters – general and project level.
2. Process contractual claims and all associated records.
3. Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost and identify and investigate losses.
4. Assist with project cash management.
5. Advise and support with project correspondence.
6. Negotiate and agree subcontractors.
7. Negotiate subcontract and suppliers’ prices and terms.
8. Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
9. Ensure timely drafting of commercial/contractual correspondence.
10. Prepare subcontract and suppliers documents.
11. Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
12. Ensure risk registers, variation trackers and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports.
13. Negotiate subcontractors and suppliers final accounts.
14. Manage variations: measurement and pricing.
15. Manage variations: negotiate with client, quantity surveyor and subcontractor.
Requirements
1. Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
2. 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects.
3. Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client’s representatives while on site including attendance at meetings.
4. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
5. Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
6. Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
7. Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
Package
Salary €70K - €90K negotiable based on experience.
