This is a key position, currently reporting directly to the Head of Section for Mine Planning & Scheduling.As Production Controller in the Mine department, you will be part of the Mine Operations Control (MOC) team, responsible for detailed scheduling of each production shift to ensure all weekly production targets are met. Also, part of the job is data validation and analysis.The role involves clear leadership, to promote and uphold the Boliden Tara values of Care, Courage, and Responsibility, whilst also ensuring a safe and positive working environment within the mining operation.Main Duties and Responsibilities: Activity scheduling as set out in the weekly plan supported by short term scheduler.Prepare work orders for the mine department and contractor’s crewsConduct shift startup meetings with mine shift supervisorsMonitor and control production in real time, adjust plans if requiredActivity reporting and data analysisSpecial duties during mine emergencies as per Mine Emergency ProceduresSkills and Capabilities:Minimum 3rd level education combined with relevant industry experience, orGraduate Engineer in mining or production SystemsPrevious experience with production scheduling in heavy industry an assetMust have good analytical skills, good organizational skills, a high learning capacity, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office softwareGood communication skills with strong verbal, written and computer skills.Flexible approach to work including shift workStrong interpersonal skills – an ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.Demonstrates a willingness to drive new opportunities and continuous improvementsValid drivers’ licenceAdditional Info: Staff position with shiftwork, roster covering 24 hours a day Monday to SundayThere may be some international travel required as part of this role.We strive to achieve diversity and inclusion among our employees and therefore welcome all applicants.
