About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our client's projects from start to finish, overseeing site operations, managing teams, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Health and Safety: Collaborate with Health and Safety Manager, ensure subcontractor compliance, conduct inductions, implement safety management systems, and prevent accidents.
* Team Supervision: Assign tasks, monitor productivity, maintain attendance records, conduct performance reviews, and address concerns.
* Subcontractor Oversight: Participate in selection, monitor deadlines, ensure quality standards, record attendance, and formally accept completed work stages.
* Materials and Equipment Management: Efficiently manage usage, place orders, inspect deliveries, safeguard materials, and report defects.
* Client Relations and Contract Management: Foster clear communication, resolve queries, manage RFIs, maintain RFI Registers, and oversee CVIs.
* Defect Management and Site Maintenance: Complete snag lists, defect reports, and significant issues reporting.
* Site Security, Housekeeping, and Waste Management: Ensure security measures, maintain cleanliness, segregate and dispose of waste through licensed contractors.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, provide regular updates, compile weekly activity schedules, update project timelines, generate progress reports, and attend site meetings.
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience as a PM for a Main Contractor.
* Prior experience in Site Manager role desirable.
* Experience in various construction types, including Civil engineering, New build residential and commercial, Renovations & conservation, Fit-out works, BER upgrade and renewable energy solutions, Fire upgrade projects.
* Strong communication and leadership abilities, IT skills, thorough understanding of construction practices, excellent organisational skills, time management, and commitment to achieving project goals.
* Familiarity with relevant legislation, including Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Building Regulations.
