Job Title: Deputy Quality Manager
Location: RosMuc, Co.Galway
Overview: As Deputy Quality Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality systems within the laboratory.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO standards, overseeing quality control processes, and supporting the Quality Manager in audits, validations, and overall laboratory quality assurance.
Responsibilities: Ensure adequate resources are available in the laboratory.Oversee internal verifications and external calibrations as required.Perform quality audits, schedule proficiency testing, and conduct internal audits.Authorise amendments to manuals and document control.Assume responsibility for quality control, including validation work and management of QC data.Coordinate scheduled proficiency testing, perform trend analysis, and review performance.Maintain training files and documentation related to the laboratories.Lead and oversee method validation and development work.Assist the Quality Manager in preparing for and participating in INAB, ISO, and customer audits.Support the Quality Manager in ensuring the quality of tests, results, and related procedures.Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, INAB requirements, and CLS internal quality procedures.Act as a signatory for environmental analysis, reviewing results and reports in environmental chemistry.Who You Are: Detail-oriented and quality-focused with strong analytical skills.Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements.Excellent communicator with strong technical report writing abilities.Organized and capable of managing multiple quality processes simultaneously.Where You Come From: Degree in Chemistry or a related field.2-3 years of experience working with instrumentation in a laboratory setting.Familiarity with ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards.Experience in quality analysis/control.Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience working with a LIMS system.What We Can Offer: Opportunities for career development and progression in a dynamic and innovative environment.The chance to contribute to the development of cutting-edge products and processes that make a difference in patients' lives.A collaborative work culture that values teamwork, professional growth, and excellence in performance.Diversity and inclusion are essential to our mission and achieving our vision at CLS.
