Site Microbiologist
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a biotech setting before it goes into full-scale production.
The company has a global presence in the biotech space and is growing out of its site in Sligo town, requiring a Site Microbiologist.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and implement the transition of certain cleanrooms from Grade D to Grade A classification.
* Ensure microbiological practices comply with GMP and Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine requirements.
* Design and implement robust environmental monitoring programs for upgraded cleanrooms.
* Analyze environmental monitoring data and take corrective actions as necessary.
* Lead aseptic process simulation (APS's) qualification activities.
* Draft, review, and update SOPs related to microbiological practices and cleanroom operations.
* Provide training on microbiological techniques, environmental monitoring, and GMP requirements.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
* Min 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
* Extensive experience with cleanroom validation and qualification processes.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
