Mace Technical Author Role

We are seeking a technical author who will develop consistent contract content for main infrastructure contracts, professional service contracts, and public-private partnership contracts. This role requires a strong understanding of project procurement and contract administration, as well as the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to transform their needs into deliverables using consistent language and requirements.

Client Focus:

- Deliver and manage project plans from project inception/brief through design development and planning, contractor procurement, and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
- Manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of senior project managers and other leaders alongside the wider project and client teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the project.

- Manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Actively network and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre, and knowledge hub.
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in project management activities with at least 5 years' experience including activities across the project lifecycle ideally within significant procurement activities through to completion in high-value metro rail projects or projects of a similar scale/complexity.
- Tangible experience of driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies, and standards.
- In-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural/engineering/construction sectors.
- Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
- Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
