An AWS Technical Account Manager is a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. You’ll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, providing advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, while proactively keeping your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy.
Our Technical Account Managers partner with a diverse range of businesses, from startups to large enterprises, providing advice on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning, as well as ongoing operational issues.
Key job responsibilities
1. You’ll build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer.
2. Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity.
3. Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
4. Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
5. Consult with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executives.
6. Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
7. Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
8. Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.
9. Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and other enablement sessions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
- Experience in technical engineering.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
