The IT Manager is responsible for leading the team and overseeing delivery activities for local systems. They collaborate with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Abbott solutions and achieve expected value from outsourced relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a local PBR team, including budget responsibility
* Partnering with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs)
* Providing oversight of business requirements
* Collaborating with enterprise strategy on domain direction
* Leveraging strengths from project teams and managing program-level risks and issues
* Leading decision-making, planning, and execution of IT initiatives
* Ensuring delivery of local IT solutions
For local systems, this role leads support-related activities, including:
* End-to-end support accountability
* Regular performance reporting
* Monitoring service level infractions
* Developing new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics
* Cross-stakeholder collaboration for SLA agreements and metrics
For non-local systems, this role has specific responsibilities:
* End-to-end support accountability
* Coordination with Business Solutions and Service (BSS) Run on support activities and critical incident communications
* Harmonization and motivation of team members
Required qualifications and experience include:
* Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field and/or relevant experience
* At least 5-7 years of experience in IT, preferably in the healthcare industry
* Prior management experience
* Problem determination and resolution skills
* Strong collaboration and partnering skills
* Effective communication and leadership skills
* Knowledge of business environment, service requirements, and culture
