Job Overview
Provide leadership and vision in the management, maintenance and control of Council's Estates function and associated statutory responsibilities.
Devise and continually review strategies and policies to meet statutory targets, providing advice and analysis to support policy and decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead transformational change by working with the Council, Director and Senior Management Team to ensure effective integration and convergence of current functions and responsibilities.
* Contribute to the development, delivery and review of the Council's vision, corporate strategy and community plan.
* Develop internal and external partnerships that contribute to the delivery of the Council's Corporate and Community Plans.
* Deliver high quality services across the functional area by using performance management to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Managerial and operational responsibility for resources within the service area, including staff, physical assets, forecast revenue income/expenditure.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative and governance requirements, maintaining an effective health and safety regime.
