Job Description
The Surgery, Anaesthesia and Critical Care Directorate (SACC) at St. Jamess Hospital focuses on delivering a safe, personal, clinically effective, and high-quality service to all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment for patients according to professional standards and under the supervision of the Consultant.
* Documenting assessments, diagnoses, treatments, clinical notes, relevant contacts, and summaries in accordance with department and professional standards.
* Fostering close working relationships with colleagues and other relevant professionals to maximise patient potential.
Requirements:
* Post-graduate qualification (e.g. MCEM, MRCS, MRCP) is advantageous but not required.
* ATLS or ACLS provider certification.
* Demonstrable commitment to General Surgery, good decision-making, broad clinical knowledge base, and appropriate clinical skills.
Skills and Competencies:
* Sufficient command of the English language to effectively carry out duties.
* Sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to carry out duties.
* Leadership potential and ability to plan and deliver care effectively.
