Based at our Cardinal Health manufacturing facility in Tullamore, you will be a highly visible and proactive member of the HR team. You will have responsibility to implement and deliver human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent development, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, and generalist HR activities.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Support achievement of company key performance indicators (KPIs) in EHS, Quality, Service, Cost, People Development and Continuous Improvement.
2. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and pertinent corporate guidelines and standards.
3. Proactively implement improvements to internal HR procedures to ensure alignment with legislation.
4. Ensure training records, plans and matrices are maintained at Audit standard at all times, this includes but is not limited to all notified bodies associated with the Tullamore plant, e.g. FDA, ISO, TUV, IMB, ENHESA, NSAI and IDA.
5. Ensure site production trainers fully trained and competent.
6. Developing best practices to reduce the absenteeism levels in the plant. This will include documenting and managing the control procedures and leading capability improvement in the leadership.
7. Implement existing performance management practices with the emphasis on high quality appraisals, constructive management of employees, recognition of excellent performers and management of under-performance.
8. Supporting supervisors and managers in dealing proactively and effectively with all employee issues.
9. Ensuring that all discipline/grievance cases in the plant are handled consistently and fairly.
10. Ensure completion of HR transactional activities in the areas of payroll, management information reporting, are completed to schedule
11. Support our Talent Acquisition team with open vacancies and lead the internal recruitment process end to end.
12. Proactive member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.
13. Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures and plant key behaviours as notified.
14. Assist in the maintenance of a safe company culture by working within the company’s environmental, health and safety guidelines and Safety Cardinal Rules at all times. Report any hazards, equipment or process issues in line with plant escalation procedures
15. Identify continuous improvements opportunities where possible and take part in improvement projects as assigned
16. Carry out additional duties that may be assigned to you.
Education:
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have
17. A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in training related/HR field preferably in a manufacturing environment with in-depth knowledge of training, plant HR processes, systems and personnel.
18. HR professional qualification (CIPD or equivalent)
19. Strong computer skills (MS Office, knowledge of Workday & CORE an advantage)

20. Experience of working with leadership/senior teams, ability to establish formal and informal networks and influence change.
21. Experience of working in a manufacturing unionised environment.
22. Strong experience of working with multiple stakeholder groups at all levels within an organisation
23. Ability to multi-task and to work in a high paced environment with an awareness of continued impact on production and the plant performance.
24. Ability to lead HR initiatives involving process development, training and qualification of supervisors/ managers/employees and assessment and renewal of the process
25. Business focused, ability to support and implement business unit, plant and function initiatives
26. Ability to learn quickly and work on own initiative.
27. Clear written and verbal communication skills

29. Commitment to continuous improvements with the initiative and ability to improve work processes.
