Role Description:
The purpose of the Graphics and Multi-Media Designer is to produce engaging and streamlined construction services and product content design & communication in a graphical and multi-media format and to produce visually appealing layouts of our services. The Graphics and Multi-Media Designer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of digital content including static images and video/animation content to be leveraged across multiple platforms and audiences, internally and externally. The Multi-Media Designer will work closely with the business owners, senior management, and business analysts to deliver on their dynamic content visions.
This fast-paced role will put a successful candidate on the cutting edge of a fast scaling business working closely with the owners.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Use graphic and multi-media programs to dynamically create accurate displays of construction services and product offerings.
* Incorporate changes recommended resulting from defined feedback loops into the graphics.
* Leverage and create templates, as needed, to layout and format visually appealing content.
* Incorporate layout changes based on team input and feedback.
* Create and deliver recording, editing, and encoding audio files.
* Create and edit a variety of digital content (i.e., static images - medical illustrations, infographics; videos – interactive videos, animations, motion graphics, video post-production; and interactive web-pages) as defined by project owners.
* Work collaboratively with team members to understand the creative content needs of internal business partners.
* Establish and maintain templates in various formats to ensure alignment to the business and internal standards.
* Lead the development of storyboards.
* Ensure all documents are prepared according to project briefs, usable/executable, and compliant with our policies and procedures including the Brand Book and Design System.
* Follow the relevant review processes prior to final production for all content.
* Benchmark as appropriate, seeking opportunities to improve processes.
* Recommend formats and provide expertise in the creation of content optimized templates.
* Responsible for managing timelines and capacity, coordinating with team members across multiple time zones (content developers, editors, graphic artists, and project owners).
* Educate teams and staff around project status.
* Anticipate, communicate, and resolve project-related issues; escalating as appropriate.
* Surface improvement opportunities for existing processes and create new ones where required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related degree (or equivalent work experience).
* 3+ years experience in product or construction media/content development.
* 1-3 years of work experience preferably in the construction industry.
* In-depth knowledge of software design programs such as Figma, Premier Pro, InVision, Graphpad, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Demonstrated experience building content with media authoring tools (e.g., Vyond/GoAnimate, Premier, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia).
