In light of expansion, we are seeking a Site Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct a level survey of the area prior to excavation.
2. Verify setting out and finished levels for boundary walls, foundations, trial pits, pop-ups, etc.
3. Contact Engineers to inspect the ground (with at least 24 hours' notice).
4. Ensure formation levels are correct (excavation should reach virgin ground).
5. Take photos before lean mix installation.
6. Verify levels ensure foundations are poured to the correct level, especially at sole plate locations.
7. Provide gridline and datum information for trade setting out.
8. Perform setting out checks for block work.
9. Verify drawings for penetrations in block work below Ground Floor Slab.
10. Inspect services, insulation, and Radon installation, and take photos.
11. Invite Engineers to inspect reinforcement before concrete Ground Floor slab (for suspended slabs only), with 24 hours' notice if possible.
12. Take photos of reinforcement before concrete.
13. Set out scaffolding.
14. Establish setting out for landscaping/garden walls, etc.
15. Liaise with Project Manager.
16. Ensure all photos are uploaded to the designated box daily/weekly.
17. Paperwork.
18. Control documents.
19. Tree protection inspection and register.
20. As-built surveys.
21. Timber frame QA, verticality, line checks, levels, structural opening checks both externally and internally, fire stopping measures.
22. Temporary works design checks and inspections.
23. Cut and fill, and terracing level surveys before and after.
24. Drawings register distribution, checking contractors' revision status, etc.
25. Action engineers' site inspection reports and comments.
