Mixed Veterinary Surgeon - Maternity Cover (Mullingar, Co. Westmeath)
We're seeking a passionate and skilled Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to cover a maternity leave, starting ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a busy and supportive practice in the heart of the Irish midlands.
About the Role:
This full-time, temporary position offers a diverse caseload, split approximately 70% small animal and 30% large animal.
Small Animal:
Engage in general first opinion practice, including routine surgeries (spays, castrations, lump removals, etc.), diagnostics, and emergency care.
Large Animal:
Conduct farm calls, with a focus on calving and sections.
No TB testing required.
Salary:
Up to 60,000 commensurate with experience.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.
OOH is shared on a rota basis: 1 night per week and 1 in 4 weekends.

Applicant Requirements:
Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) and eligible to work in Ireland.
Competent in basic routine small animal surgeries (spays, castrations, lump removals, etc.).
Competent in large animal calving and sections.
All experience levels considered.
