Job Title: Payroll Administrator
About the Employer
This role is based on site with a health service provider in East Galway, Ireland.
The potential to have one day per week working from home in the longer term (after 6 months) is available.
Role Responsibilities
1. Preparation and assistance with monthly payroll input by liaising with managers and collating all appropriate information for the outsourced payroll provider.
2. Confidentiality is required at all times.
3. Strong organisational, time management skills are necessary.
4. Communication with colleagues and internal employees must be effective.
5. Accurate collation of monthly payroll changes and updates to the payroll outsource provider for circa 900-1000 employees is required.
6. Payroll must be processed with accuracy and within deadlines.
7. Monthly processing and reconciliation, as well as report preparation for final approval and sign off, prior to submitting payroll to the bank.
8. Close collaboration with HR dept and Time & Attendance system to ensure seamless flow of relevant and retained data across functions to aid the payroll process.
9. Action as first point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll.
10. Checking sick leave and adjusting pay as necessary in line with company sick leave policy.
Qualifications & Experience Needed
* Irish Payroll Association (IPASS) qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
* 1+ years' payroll administration experience is essential.
* Candidates with some Payroll experience who would like to be further developed into a busy Payroll position may also be considered.
