About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and ambitious Accountant to join our finance team as an Accounts & Audit Assistant Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified individual to develop their portfolio and leadership skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading audit and accounting assignments. Your tasks will include involvement in audits from planning through to completion, preparing, delegating, and reviewing accounting assignments, finalizing and submitting accounts, mentoring junior staff, and liaising with clients on a regular basis.
Your client base will range from smaller OMBs through to larger limited companies over the audit threshold and some group structures. You will start by managing a handful of your own portfolios while also completing work for the partner. As you progress into a managerial role, your portfolio will grow.
Your Profile
We are looking for a qualified accountant who has gained mixed audit and accounts experience within an accountancy firm. Ideally, you should be ACA / ACCA qualified and have gained at least 12 months PQE. You must be comfortable undertaking audit and accounts assignments through to completion stages.
You should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and an ambition to progress and take on management responsibility. This role offers progression to managing a full portfolio over time.
