We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching in biomedical engineering, particularly at the interface of artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies, and 'One Health'. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering and experience in applying AI and data analytics to health and healthcare delivery.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an ambitious personal research programme and profile, while participating fully in the academic activities of the Schools, College, and University. They will also be expected to deliver high-quality teaching in core subjects in biomedical engineering, contributing to undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.

The role offers opportunities to build strong links with the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences and the Gosset Institute in AI and digital technologies. Research synergy with existing faculty within the Schools and associated Centres, including the UCD Centre for Biomedical Engineering, is highly valued.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, a strong publication record, and experience in teaching and research. You should also be able to demonstrate your ability to secure external funding for research projects.
