issues.The OSS Designer will be responsible for the Life-cycle Management of systems
and road map planning.You will be accountable for OSS
functions, working as part of a team and with our partners to drive the
delivery against our architecture and business objectives.The role will report into the Head of Network Solutions &
Architecture.You will be responsible for the day-to-day
activities of the OSS Design Authority team`s roadmap from a design,
development and interworking perspective while assisting in driving programme
agility, efficiency, and excellence. Your approach will be customer focused and
aligned to the commercial goals of the business. You`ll also drive our values
in day to day technical and operational decision making.Strong exposure and experience into Service Assurance, Service Management & Network Assurance area.Provide key inputs and guide the operations to derive the requirements keeping the Architectural principles in mind.Should be able to work with Product vendor to make them understand the requirements and idea about how the same can be supported on the Product.Architecture and Design: During delivery, the documents the solution requirements, develops the high-level design and leads overall design activity. The OSS Design Authority also leads development of technical implementation planning documents such as the overall Migration and Solution Test strategy documents.Translate 3 Ireland Business owner’s requirements into specific system, application & process architecture designs.Develop and deliver High Level Solution documents, and gather requirements in support of documenting the program/project scoped OSS solutionsWorking with procurement to ensure vendor proposals are both cost-effective and fit for purposeEvaluating server and storage requirements in situations where Hardware needs to be sourced separately to vendor software.Supporting vendor and 3 Ireland Data Centre team on equipment delivery to data centres, installation, patching, and IP connectivity.Ensuring that the solution architecture is compliant and aligned to the published OSS Architecture blueprints and product, (IT) technology & infrastructure roadmaps. Review and approve OSS Functional Designs (FD) and OSS technical Designs (TD), Interface Specifications (IS) & Data Mappings for the OSS solution, liaising with cross functional teams to achieve high quality designs. Lead complex OSS Transformation projects from the OSS solutions perspective for the different 3 Ireland Stakeholders.Provide OSS technical leadership & consultancy to RAN, Core and Operation teamsParticipates in design sessions, review options and provide recommendations while communicating benefits, risks, and constraints to both the business and the various IT stakeholders The Skills we are looking for:Customer centric and solution-oriented Telecom OSS designer.The individual must possess experience working with stakeholders/vendors as well as show a good understanding of the Telco product portfolio and OSS principles, processes, technology, and application engineeringDomain certifications – eTOM, TMForum, TOGAF, ITIL – would be an added advantage.Use of architecture and modelling tools – such as EA, MS Visio etc.Demonstrates a keen interest and drive in self-development and learning, is open to feedback, challenges, and opportunities.Ability to contribute to operational plans within their area that puts the customer experience first.Will be able to understand and analyse the data and insights in their area to support management and leadership teams to make effective and informed decisions.Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment enjoying the challenges and opportunities this brings.Sound knowledge of Telecom networking and telecommunication technologies across Radio Access, IP, Voice & Data Core.Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, or similar technical discipline.8+ Years of solid experience in OSS area and specifically in Integrated Fault, Performance, Service, Inventory and TT Management.Hands-on experience with OSS applications from recognized Network Vendors such as Nokia NetAct, Nokia Traffica, Ericsson ENM/ENIQ as well as 3rd party solutions such as Viavi NITRO (Probing, CEA/CEM), and SevOne.Excellent presentation skills, able to construct and deliver material appropriate to the audience and situation.Very strong Systems Integration capabilities with software development, applications, and infrastructure experience.Very strong customer orientation, influence, applied creativity, technical & professional expertise, listening, responding, and building trust with customers.Experience of leading complex Systems Integration projects for a leading SI using a variety of industry products and technologies.Soft skills and experience in demanding customer situations, customer negotiations, problem solving and crisis management.Previous experience in Telecom Operator and/or Service Provider.Benefits of Working at ThreeFlexible working with our new Hybrid model, our employees will enjoy more flexibility working from home and our office locations (3 days per week office based).
