Responsibilities
1. Own a named account list and develop account plans for winning and expanding business with high growth technology companies
2. Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
3. Own the full sales cycle from lead to close
4. Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at new clients
5. Work with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Product, and Finance) to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses
6. Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process
7. Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy
Who you are
You are an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organisation, including CTO, COO, and CFO. You are passionate about working with startups and mid market companies. You have a strong comprehension of the buyer journey and can manage short, single stakeholder deals as well as complex multi-party sales in a highly consultative manner. You are used to building value in demanding situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product comprehension, combined with technical knowledge. Finally, you’ll develop scalable strategies and repeatable processes that enable us to amplify the number of new businesses joining Stripe.

Minimum requirements
8. 5+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product, with a track record of top performance
9. Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple products
10. Ability to develop and execute account plans spanning multiple business units across complex organizations
11. Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
12. Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
13. Superior verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
14. Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
15. Strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of the space
Preferred qualifications
16. Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company
17. Prior experience in the payments industry
Hybrid work at Stripe
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €122,400 - €183,600. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
