Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oncology
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide specialist nursing care to patients referred to our breast care service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver specialist nursing care in accordance with the five core concepts of the Clinical Nurse Specialist role.
* Assess, counsel, and support patients with malignant, benign, and family risk of breast cancer.
* Develop and maintain relationships with patients, relatives, visitors, and colleagues through effective communication and empathy.
* Recognise and diffuse potentially difficult situations within the multidisciplinary team.
* Coordinate and provide patient care needs using initiative, time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with current NMBI registration to practice.
* Higher Diploma in Oncology Nursing (Breast care) preferred.
* Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, with 2 years in Oncology and ideally breast care services.
* Excellent written and verbal skills, fluency in English.
* Ability to work as part of a team and provide verbal and written reports on patient condition.
* Teaching and presentation skills for mentoring students and promoting learning environments.
