Objective of the Role: The Front Office Night Auditor assists the Front Office and Night Managers in actively leading the Front Office operation of the Hotel, and assists in providing strong direction and motivation to the team.
The Front Office Night Auditor is the face of Aloft, dedicated to providing the very best of the Aloft vibe and feel in every guest interaction.
Specifically, this person has direct influence for the quality standards, Aloft culture, guest experience and Associate engagement.
The Front Office Night Auditor is a driver of the Aloft Vibe across the Front Office team in the hotel.
The Front Office Night Auditor has detailed knowledge of most aspects of Front Office Operations.
More than that, this person is committed to guest satisfaction and providing an Aloft-style experience every time.
This person owns the guest experience throughout the guests on property stay.
The Auditor has an eye for detail and never fails to strive for perfection, engaging their team with a winning spirit and taking them along on the journey to deliver an on-brand experience, always.
Job Responsibilities: Assist in the management of the hotel Front-Office operation to achieve a reputation as a market leader in individualised customer focused service in the hotel locality.
Complete thorough audits of all daily revenue and postings, making the necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy of reporting.
Collate paperwork for departures, including credit card and company charges to be forwarded to Accounts department.
Process all management accounts as required.
Ensure that reservations details for in house-guests are recorded correctly, ie.
room rates, dates of stay, authority to charge.
Complete relevant computer tasks in relation to Night Audit functions, including posting room charges and daily room revenue.
Complete 'back up' procedures to save all data.
Ensure the safety and security of the property and the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's overnight operation.
Assist in the running and actively participate in regular Front Office meetings respecting the confidentiality of issues which may be discussed formally or informally.
Adhere to all Aloft & Marriott P&Ps with a specific focus for Front Office, Admin & General & Crisis Management.
Effective supervision of all guest arrivals and departures ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures and are customer focused.
Supervision of lobby services, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
Ensure the MOD Log is accurately maintained and actioned and all guest actions are followed up in suitable time-frames Regular liaison with Maintenance ensuring maintenance requests are completed quickly focusing on guest needs as priority.
Assist in the operation of an effective night audit function.
Accuracy of this daily function being paramount while maintaining customer focus.
Ensure public areas are clean and well presented with regular monitoring.
Delegate duties so all aspects of the shift are covered, ensure concise handover to the next shift.
