Fota Island Resort is currently recruiting for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our professional team in The Clubhouse.

Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5-star environment
* Excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage, including wine
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Extensive experience in staff training, knowledge, grooming, customer service, and etiquette
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Immaculate grooming
* 3rd level Hospitality Diploma or equivalent (desirable)
* Basic computer skills
* Leadership, management, and delegation skills
* Event and wedding management experience
Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing daily Food & Beverage operations in The Clubhouse, supporting staff, and monitoring performance to ensure guest satisfaction
* Ensuring proper setup of all Food & Beverage outlets, maintaining standards of food, beverage, and service
* Reviewing communication such as daily/weekly BEOs for staffing, decor, and setup details
* Coordinating with kitchen and support departments during service
* Inspecting and maintaining cleanliness of all areas, coordinating with housekeeping and engineering
* Organizing weekly briefings with supervisors, discussing upcoming events, and reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager
* Generating new ideas for services and products to stay competitive and increase revenue
* Ensuring service standards (dress code, hygiene, procedures) are followed during briefings
