Job Title: Community Engagement Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Social Care Worker to join our team in a well-established homeless and drug service. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our community to reduce the harm caused by addiction and homelessness, while minimising the impact of our services on the local community.
Main Objectives:
* To work within our organisation's mission to address issues related to homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.
* To develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, families, and community stakeholders.
* To provide support and guidance to individuals experiencing difficulties, including de-escalating challenging situations.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A minimum Third Level 7 Social Care Qualification.
* A minimum 12 months' full-time experience or part-time equivalent working in a similar low-threshold environment.
* An understanding of National Standards for Safer Better Healthcare, as well as issues related to homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.
