Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director /CFO to join this dynamic payment solutions provider, as it sets up a new business in Ireland.
As the Finance Director, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the company's financial health, and providing strategic guidance to drive long-term growth and profitability.
You will play a crucial role in strategic planning, business development, and financial management, aligning financial goals with business objectives to maximize shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Leadership : Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
Partner with the MD and other executive team members to provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
Lead financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to ensure accurate financial statements and data.
Financial Management & Reporting : Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, treasury, tax, compliance, and internal controls.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting, adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Manage the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and board presentations.
Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Risk Management & Compliance : Identify and manage financial risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Oversee audits and work with external auditors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
Capital Management : Manage the company's capital structure, optimizing working capital, and ensuring adequate liquidity.
Operational Efficiency : Drive financial process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Implement and maintain effective financial systems and technologies to streamline operations.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the payment solutions, fintech, or financial services industry.
Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in the financial services industry.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Financial Acumen : In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
Strategic Vision : Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and align financial planning with long-term business goals.
Leadership : Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team.
