Job Title: Front of House/Dental Nurse at Monread Dental

Responsibilities:
Reception/Admin
* Greet patients warmly and ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the dental office.
* Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our dental services.
* Verify and update patient information, including personal details and insurance coverage.
* Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely completion of treatments.
* Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and maintain financial records with confidentiality.
* Assist in managing and organising patient records and dental charts.
* Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure optimal patient care.
* Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the reception area and waiting room.
* Follow established protocols and guidelines to uphold patient confidentiality and privacy.
* Other tasks as and when required.
Dental Nurse:
* Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
* Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, equipment, and materials for treatment.
* Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, anticipating their needs and providing support.
* Maintain a clean and organised dental surgery, following strict infection control protocols.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
* Record accurate and detailed dental charting and treatment notes.
* Manage and maintain dental supplies and inventory, restocking as necessary.
* Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling.
* Assist with dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models, and fabricating temporary restorations.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a dental nurse, dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred but not required.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy front desk.
* Proficiency in using dental practice management software for appointment scheduling and patient records.
* Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance coverage.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling patient information and financial transactions.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with dental professionals.
* Outstanding customer service skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
* Flexibility to work during regular office hours, including some evenings.
* Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and infection control protocols.
* Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and maintaining accurate records.
* Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
* Knowledge of dental software systems is an advantage.
Job Type:
* One part-time/flexible vacancy, one full-time vacancy.
* Hours typically from 16-32 any given week.
Salary: From €12 per hour with no experience; candidates with experience encouraged to apply.
