Accounts and Payroll Specialist (Education Sector)

Responsibilities of the Accounts and Payroll Specialist Job:
* Process weekly and monthly payroll for staff ensuring PAYE/PRSI compliance
* Liaise with the Revenue Commissioner and Department of Social Welfare as required
* Prepare files/returns to Revenue Commissioners each month
* Update budget sheets and summaries with income & expenditure
* Provide administrative support to the Director of Finance – manage diary, schedule meetings with internal and external personnel
* Record all absences for privately paid staff, both teaching and non-teaching
* Assist with garda vetting
Requirements of the Accounts and Payroll Specialist Job:
* Previous experience of SAGE Payroll (Micropay Professional) payroll system
* Detailed knowledge of PAYE and PRSI
* Detailed knowledge of Employment Law and Employee Entitlements
* Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team as required
* Strong attention to detail
