Job Description:
Our client, a major Mechanical & Electrical contractor, is looking to hire a Structural / Architectural BIM Engineer for their off-site fabrication and modular construction site in Co. Carlow.
As a Structural/Architectural BIM Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our project development and implementation process. You will work closely with the other BIM detailers to deliver cutting-edge projects. Current requirements allow for a base in our office in Bagenalstown Co. Carlow.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Produce accurate detailed 2D sheets (fabrication level detail) from a model.
* Support the production of multi-discipline models.
* Collaborate and coordinate with all relevant trades.
* Liaise with BIM Lead and Site Engineers.
* Ensure the Modelling meets the required standards as set out in the BEP documentation.
* Create and maintain BIM families.
* Run clash tests in Navisworks and produce reports.
* Maintain documents to the relevant BEP standards.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to pharmaceutical, life sciences, construction, and other sectors. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.
Skills and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Degree Qualification in a relevant Structural Engineering or Architectural Technician discipline.
* Experience in using any of the following BIM software packages is advantageous:
o BIM 360
o Solid Works
o Revit
o Navisworks
o AutoCAD
* A good understanding of MEP & Structural services.
