Hartley People Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients team in Waterford. Our client is an esteemed engineering design firm specialising in tailored equipment for the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors, is currently in search of Mechanical Engineers to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Lead projects from inception to final installation, overseeing all aspects of project management. Craft Technical Proposals and cost estimates for clientele. Employ SolidWorks modelling software to develop intricate mechanical designs and detailed drawings. Collaborate with electrical and control engineers as needed in the design process. Design intuitive HMI screens and flow diagrams for effective machine control. Perform Risk Analysis to ensure compliance with CE standards. Produce documentation aligning with GAMP requirements. Demonstrate a strong grasp of engineering principles, with a focus on designing mechanical systems and products. Plan, conceptualize, and execute mechanical designs for new products. Develop and implement testing processes, conducting validation of new designs. Construct working prototypes for beta testing and customer presentation. Generate and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using appropriate software. Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with engineering teams and liaise with vendors and contractors. Key Requirements Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or similar tools. Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. 2-5 years of experience within an engineering environment. Demonstrated project management skills, including adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Advanced mathematical aptitude, with the ability to apply statistical principles to problem-solving. Exceptional technical acumen, coupled with strong reasoning ability. High level of proficiency in IT. Ability to produce meticulous documentation to track project development and design evolution. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with teams and clients. Analytical mindset with robust research and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent team player, confident in engaging with colleagues and customers. Self-motivated with a dedication to ongoing skill enhancement and professional development.
