Job Title: Accounts Office Manager
A dynamic and results-driven professional is required to oversee the accounts department team, ensuring financial ledgers are maintained and monthly accounting processes are followed.
Main Tasks:
* Oversee the accounts department team
* Maintain financial ledgers and follow monthly accounting processes
* Provide overall leadership and supervision to the entire office team
* Supervise office employees, allocate workloads, monitor progress and performance
* Monitor productivity, systems, efficiency, profitability and quality control through regular audits
* Control and monitor the correct use of appropriate technology
* Carry out stock checks on equipment and materials as required
* Induct and train new office staff to required standards
* Liaise with Human Resources promptly, with open communication and integrity
* Implement new financial and operational systems
* Coordinate escalation/identification of issues and advise Senior Management of potential/operational risks
* Provide Business Analysis to improve processes, productivity and performance
* Accountable for all tax and regulatory returns
* Manage relationships with external and internal auditors, tax advisors, and other professional advisors
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow
* Prepare weekly financial reports, including forecasting of profits, cash and payroll
* Preparation of monthly Accruals, Prepayments and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Preparation of year end Accounts
* Evaluate a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets
* Promote credible awareness of all company Policies and Procedures and Health and Safety Practices
Your Profile:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant or Accounts Technician with 3+ years PQE in a management role, who is results orientated, commercially astute, revenue and profit focused. The ideal candidate will possess excellent IT skills and experience, financial acumen, and be able to think strategically as well as operationally. They should have a proven track record of achievement working in a standards-driven organisation, and be ambitious, enthusiastic and resilient with demonstrable career progression to date.
