Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Operations to oversee operational support for the Building 8 Operations team within our Vaccines Manufacturing organisation. This role is critical to ensuring that our production team operates efficiently, safely, and with the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing processes to enable the timely manufacture and release of production batches, adhering strictly to scheduled timelines.
As a core member of the IPT leadership team, the Associate Director will play a vital role in strategic decision-making and operational planning. They will also serve as the primary lead for inspection readiness, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards during audits and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive permanent inspection readiness in the facility.
2. Ensure timely batch release.
3. Lead initiatives that foster a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Mentor staff and promote professional development.
5. Collaborate across all levels of the organization to enhance operational performance.
6. Provide support and coverage to the Operation Lead role as required, to manage the shift operations team to meet the end-to-end batch production schedule.
Required Experience and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in management within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment.
3. Proven expertise in vaccines manufacturing processes and regulatory compliance.
4. Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards relevant to pharmaceutical operations.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
8. Experience leading inspection readiness initiatives and managing audit processes effectively.
