Position description
Job title: Senior Engineer (Drainage Design) M/F
Contract type: Permanent contract
Business Line specific context: B.Barry and Partners currently require a Senior Drainage engineer who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will be a vital part of the team and will be helping contribute to the continued growth of J.B.Barry and Partners. You will be taking a lead role on projects and will be reporting to Associates, Associate Directors and Directors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer. J.B.Barry and Partners is one of the country's leading Civil Engineering Consultants and has recently been acquired by the Egis Group. The J.B.Barry/Egis Group currently has over 16 employees and is involved in some of the largest engineering projects in the world.
Job description:
1. Capable of working under own initiative and being the point of contact with the Client.
2. Proven ability in delegating to design engineers and technicians, and providing support and guidance as necessary.
3. Capable of working within the J.B.Barry/Egis Quality Management System.
4. Management of projects within time, cost and quality constraints.
5. Business development including the preparation of tender submissions.
Profile:
1. Experience in the use of Micro drainage in the design of drainage infrastructure.
2. Familiar with the use of SuDS techniques and their application in urban realms.
3. Experience in the use of Greenfield and Brownfield catchment analysis.
4. Familiar with the TII Design Standards and housing development standards (with regard to drainage elements, i.e. HEWRAT assessments).
5. Level 8 Engineering Degree Minimum.
