Excel Recruitment are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer for a client based in north Dublin.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the HVAC Maintenance as part of their Technical Support Team of one of their key, large scale, contracts. Role involves installation, service, maintenance of all refrigeration/Air conditioning systems, including but not exclusive to Splits, VRF, Close Control, Commercial and Industrial chillers and DX Applications.
You will:
o To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment on the designated contracts, in the designated locations.
o Servicing of mechanical, electrical and non-technical equipment
o Liaise with the helpdesk and respond to all non-technical and technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement within the designated locations.
o Assist subcontractors as required.
o To be a self-performing technician and continuously strive for self-improvement.
o Ensure any training deemed necessary by the Operations Manager and or Technical Service Director is completed.
o Must be willing to take on and familiarise with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary to carryout role.
o Ensure service work reports are signed off by client or representative/reports are submitted when necessary.
You have:
o Competent and capable of servicing all HVAC and Boiler house equipment, including pumps/pump sets, pressurisation units, make up units, vessels, pressure and expansion, and control panels and components.
o Must appreciate the importance of taking ownership of certain functions as allocated to the role
o Must be physically fit as this can be a demanding role
o Computer literate
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
o Customer focused
o Team Player demonstrating flexibility
o Refrigeration Craft qualification (F-GAS C&G 2009 CAT 1)
o Formal training / certification in servicing split a/c, Air handling plants Full driving license
o Safepass
o Experience in maintaining and servicing large chillers installations / large Air Handling plants
o A solid knowledge of AHU, ventilation ancillaries and relevant controls a must
o GID gas qualifications
o An RGI qualification and a proven track record in the service and maintenance of oil and gas boilers from domestic to commercial would be advantageous
o Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship
