Skills and Requirements:
* Ability to manage a team.
* Responsibility for several key projects.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing role.
* Engineering experienced candidate advantageous.
* Knowledge of / experience in the construction industry required.
* Full training on in-house procedures/systems will be provided.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
* Excellent IT skills essential - knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
* Salary will be in line with responsibilities, qualifications, and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead scheduled procurement meetings with project teams on key projects: Develop project specific procurement strategies, ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met and monitor supplier performance.
* Lead the procurement of key projects both domestic & international, through sourcing, negotiation, pricing, technical compliance, and supplier selection, leveraging volume discounts and long-term partnerships while managing risks associated with supply continuity.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting business reviews, negotiating framework and rebate agreements, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
* Develop strategic domestic & international supply chains to support key projects. Evaluate supplier capabilities and make recommendations for supplier selection according to our supplier qualification process and strategy.
* Ensure compliance within the division with our quality procedures.
* Preparation of project and division procurement reports.
* Identify and develop department and interdepartmental process improvements in conjunction with key Group stakeholders.
* Monitor supplier performance for the division in conjunction with the Group Quality Team. Carry out supplier reviews informed by the process.
* Provide accurate and concise information to the Head of Electrical Procurement to inform strategic decision making.
* Inform, implement, and lead the ESG development of the division in conjunction with The Group ESG Leads.
* Lead continuous improvement of SAP ERP based procurement.
* Mentor procurement team members.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the head of procurement.
