Hybrid - Dublin The principal role of the Part Qualified Trainee Accountant is the professional preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, cost analysis, report writing and supporting finance and audit processes related to the financial control and governance of client.
This will also include all necessary communication and follow up with external parties (e.g; auditors, banks, hospitals, suppliers etc).
In addition, the Part Qualified Trainee Accountant will carry out such duties appropriate to the office as may be assigned by the Financial Accountant.
The current priorities are as follows: Support the Financial Accountant with the preparation of Annual Financial statements including liaison with Comptroller and Auditor General.
Prepare the Monthly Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet reconciliation and PSWT reconciliations.
Support the Financial Accountant with the preparation of the monthly management accounts including the preparation of accruals and prepayments To participate in the development and implementation of information systems with particular reference to organisation-wide integrated IT systems; to determine and promote management accounting vision for same.
Preparation of all working papers and file for presentation together with financial statements for external audit and annual reports.
Provide support and documentation where required for the Internal Audit Function.
Liaising with and dealing with all queries raised by the external auditor.
Facilitate and support the integration of accounts information with internal NTPF systems.
To supervise and carry out the financial function of the client in line with Department of Health guidelines, procedures and regulations.

Drive & Commitment Eligibility Criteria Each candidate must on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms, meet the following essential criteria:
Part Qualified Trainee Accountant (APA, ACCA, Chartered or CIMA) Third level qualification required, preferably in business, finance, accountancy or other closely related discipline.
Part-Qualified accountant with minimum 2 years relevant experience.
In addition the following are requirements of the position: Support in the preparation ofManagement Accounts, monthly and annually.
Experience supporting the preparation of Financial Accounts and dealing with external and internal audit.
Have excellent computer skills particularly in the production and analysis of reports and have an in-depth knowledge of how financial transactions are controlled and summarised in order to produce analytical information and published financial statements.
Have excellent interpersonal skills.
Have proven organisational and administrative skills.
Have the ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail.
Be proactive and be able to identify potential difficulties and formulate solutions.
