Lazard Fund Managers (Ireland) Limited (“LFMI”) is a key part of the LAM Group and a physical office was established in 2014 and is currently looking for a Investment Management Support Analyst to join the team. LFMI’s main business is the provision of fund management and administration services to collective investment schemes. LFMI manages three UCITS (undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities, which were established in accordance with the EU Directive 2009/65/EC). LFMI and the Funds are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (the CBI). LFMI has four branch offices for sales in Belgium, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Fund Operations Analyst - Based in Dublin
The Fund Operations Analyst will support the LMFI team in their day-to-day responsibility for monitoring the activities of investment managers. It will also include the oversight of the Custodians, Administrators and the tax agents in different jurisdictions. The person will be the key contact in all matters relating to tax reclaims, ensuring markets are opened timely and accurately with appropriate documentation in place and necessary tax treaties applied.
We’ll trust you to:
* Support the on-boarding of new Funds and open Markets for Trading as instructed by the Portfolio Manager.
* Prepare & Monitor the Tax Dashboard and ensure Reclaims are accrued correctly for different jurisdictions.
* Work closely with the Custodian and tax agents in completing the paperwork for the opening of accounts in the different jurisdictions.
* Work closely with the Custodians to apply the correct tax treaties and correct tax rates, ensuring the tax reclaims are applied for and received in a timely manner.
* Appoint tax agents in the necessary markets and work closely with these tax agents.
* Support the monitoring of portfolio management investment activities.
* Liaise with the designated person for Investment Management.
* Assist in producing reports related to the designated person for Investment Management’s activities.
* Work closely with Custodian on Market Renewal in India.
* Participate in Annual Due Diligence for Custody Tax.
* Actively participate in Team Projects as instructed by the supervisor and share key learning and knowledge lessons at team meetings.
* Work closely with Tax Agents for terminating Sub-Accounts which are closed.
You’ll need to have:
* Undergraduate degree.
* Experience in Asset Management, Fund Administration, Custody or related industry.
* Proven organizational, individual competitive and/or entrepreneurial skills.
* A willingness to leverage the Firm’s global capabilities and resources.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present written and verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
* Experience in working within tight deadlines and under pressure.
* The ability to work collegiately within a small team.
* The understanding of portfolio taxes is an advantage having worked in the tax department of large custodians, administrators or tax advisors.
