1. Scope of the position
Quality Assurance – Representing the Customer at Mergon International.
2. Key Responsibility
- Adhere to quality procedures and specifications.
- Use Work Instructions to ensure that product meets customer specification.
- Responsibility to highlight non-adherence to quality procedures and specifications, to Chargehand and Ops Leads and non-conforming parts to engineering team.
- Take part in customer complaints and product audits if required.
- Ensure all issues identified are documented correctly and lead a daily review of the feedback to the Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager, and the Ops Lead.
- Train new firewall operators to ensure they fully understand all relevant specifications and procedures and conduct re-training as required.
- Conduct online training with operators for issues seen during firewall inspection.
- Organise weekly firewall inspection activities with the Quality Engineer in line with shipping requirements.
- Conduct final quality release of automotive products from warehouse.
3. Key Performance Indicators
- Accuracy and consistency of quality inspections and evaluations.
- Timeliness in reporting quality issues and non-conformities.
- Daily firewall review meetings to be held with all relevant personnel.
4. Decision making authority
Firewall Chargehands have the authority to place product on-hold for review by the Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager where necessary and to scrap non-conforming product to customer specification.
