We are seeking an Assistant Food and Beverage Operations Manager for our Conference & Banqueting department at The Cork International Hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the smooth operation of the conference and banqueting department, ensuring high standards in food quality, service, and productivity.
* Manage and lead the activities of assigned areas to improve efficiency, sales, and profitability.
* Set clear goals and responsibilities for Assistant Managers and supervisors.
* Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager on administration, operational planning, and revenue forecasts.
* Maintain procedures for taking orders, serving food and beverages, clearing tables, and billing guests according to hotel standards.
* Ensure controls and procedures are in place for effective departmental operations.
* Work within budgeted margins and manage stock control and wastage.
* Establish financial targets and communicate progress to the team.
* Develop initiatives to increase sales, profitability, and guest counts, reporting to the Deputy General Manager and General Manager.
Requirements:
* A willingness to learn and adapt.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Previous experience managing a team in a food and beverage department is essential.
