Site Engineer/Assistant Project Manager (Piling)
As a Site Engineer/Assistant Project Manager (Piling), you will play a pivotal role in leading a Piling contractor based in Dublin. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with contractors, supervisors, and Project Managers to ensure that the Project Pile Design is implemented safely, efficiently, and technically correct.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain method statements and risk assessments to guarantee a safe working environment.
2. Develop detailed Site Instructions and brief site crews on their tasks to enhance productivity.
3. Monitor changes to the works scope and implement them effectively.
4. Compile lift plans and conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with pile design.
5. Collaborate with the Construction Supervisor to plan and execute safe working practices.
6. Review and report on soil and site conditions to verify that Pile Design requirements are being met.
7. Examine and implement Engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications to comply with project scope.
8. Ensure design information is used and checked according to Quality Procedures and industry standards.
9. Manage projects to achieve timely and cost-efficient completion.
10. Attend pre-start, progress, and completion meetings to stay informed.
11. Gather project records upon completion of works.
12. Supervise site testing engineers, review reports, and submit them for approval.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Practical expertise in contemporary piling methods, including Rotary Bored, CFA, Driven, Diaphragm wall, and Secant Wall.
3. Experience delivering complex projects related to foundation, piling, and structures through on-site management of construction activities.
4. In-depth understanding of reinforced concrete construction, including familiarity with rebar drawings, bending schedules, temporary works schemes, formwork systems, and concrete placement.
